Procedure for Applying PAN Card at UTI

Please follow the instructions below if you want to apply a PAN card at UTI:

    1. Click here to go to UTI portal
    2. You will see Form 49A on the page
    3. Choose individual from the drop down menu if you are applying the PAN card as an individual.
    4. Enter all your details in the form and press the Submit button
    5. Press on the Validation button for a quick check on whether you fill in the fields with correct information. If you pass the validation, you can proceed to click on the Make Payment button.
    6. You will see the Success message after you have submitted the payment online. After that, make sure you print the form with your printer.
    7. Glue two photos onto the printed form that is already filled with your details.
    8. The recommended size of the photo should be at 3.5 x 2.5 cm. You must sign your signature across the photo prints.
    9. You should also put your signature in the boxes that are designed for signature on both pages of the printed application.
    10. Include identity and address proof documents in the envelop prior to having it mailed to the nearest branch.

Procedure for Applying a PAN Card at NSDL

It takes about 15 days for the PAN card application mail to arrive at the NSDL office. The PAN card will be delivered to you via a registered mail or courier to the address that you have entered in the application form. You can follow the instruction below to find out how you can apply for PAN card at NSDL portal.

  1. Click here to go to the NSDL portal – Form 49A
  2. Follow the instructions and enter your details in all the fields accordingly
  3. Choose the Applicant category at the page bottom and press the Select button
  4. Enter your details in the form and press the submit button
  5. Double check the details you have entered in the form and press on the confirm button
  6. The payment terms will display on the screen.You are to click on the Agree button and continue to check out and submit the payment.
  7. After you have successfully sent payment, you will receive a 15 digit acknowledgment number.
  8. Print out the page and put down your signature
  9. You can use demand draft or cheque to make payment for the application fee of the PAN card
  10. Mail the printed form along with your photos and the proof documents.
  11. The envelop must be addressed as  ‘APPLICATION FOR PAN – ______________’. You are to write your 15 digit acknowledgment number in the blank space.
  12. The mail must be directed to the following address:Income Tax PAN Services Unit, NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Ltd., 5th Floor, Mantri Sterling, Plot no. 341, Survey no. is 997/8, Model Colony, Near Deep Bangalow Chowk, Pune – 411016.
